2016 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir Rosé
We are proud to celebrate more than a decade of Rosé production at Stoller Family Estate. Whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel, this Pinot Noir Rosé is exquisitely aromatic with strong notes of ruby red grapefruit and citrus. The palate shows tropical fruits while remaining bright and balanced by mouthwatering acidity.
The 2016 vintage was a warmer than average year in the Willamette Valley, causing smaller clusters and a perfect deceleration of heat accumulation at the end of an early growing season. A touch of rain during flowering gave the clusters a higher skin to pulp ratio, leading to more vibrant flavors and aromas in the fruit. Towards the end of summer, the temperatures dropped to near perfect condition for the grapevines to finish out the season. Our grapes were able to achieve ideal ripeness despite having the earliest harvest on record, allowing the clusters to gain the desirable flavor profiles and complexity to make 2016 one of the best vintages to date.
