Stoller Family Estate Frosé on a black slab with cut strawberries

Summer calls for Frosé! Our bright, mouthwatering Rosé is already the perfect addition to any brunch or evening on the patio… but, turn it into an adult slushy fit for the heat of summer and it’s game over. Grab some local strawberries, a bottle of our 2021 Stoller Pinot Noir Rosé and get blending!

INGREDIENTS

Strawberry Purée

1 lemon, zest and juice
Local fresh or frozen strawberries
Pinch of salt
Pinch of sugar (to taste, but don’t use much!)

Slushy

4 oz water
2 oz  neutral slush base (This can be purchased here or at smart foodservice)
1 1/2 oz strawberry purée
1 750 mL bottle of 2021 Stoller Pinot Noir Rosé

Garnish

Fresh strawberries, diced
Mint
Lime, zest and juice
1 tsp Rosé
Pinch of salt

1. Order “neutral slush base” online. Take 2 oz of that base and cut it with 4 oz of water. This makes the dissolved sugar content (brix) correct for our Rosé to turn to slush with a good mouthfeel.

2. Blend your strawberries with the juice and zest of a lemon into a thick, tart purée.

3. Start the blender or margarita machine, pour in the wine, the water-cut neutral slush base, and lastly the purée. If you choose to mix in a blender, turn it on high for 1 minute or until thoroughly mixed. If you use a margarita machine, turn it on “high freeze” and let it spin continuously for 45 minutes.

4. Dice the fresh strawberries, chiffonade the mint, then mix with the splash of Rosé, lime, sugar and a pinch of salt. This can be done a few hours in advance for a more macerated berry look and taste. When ready, use as the topping for your Rosé slushy, and enjoy!
